About the opportunity
We are looking for committed and caring volunteers to assist our residents’ in contacting their families and loved ones with using the IRT Connect online platform.


This rewarding position provides a high level of customer service, utilising tablets to schedule IRT Connect calls, as well as initiating the calls and being on stand-by for any support required.  


We’re looking for volunteers who are:

  • Able to use tablets and iPads and have a general understanding of making online calls
  • Knowledgeable in Covid-19 protocols and infection control, or will to learn
  • Able to use a scheduling / rostering system
  • Committed to working with older people from diverse backgrounds
  • Good communicators 
  • Willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents to connect with family and loved ones using the IRT Connect program
  • Utilise Tablets to logon to the IRT Connect program and coordinate video calls
  • Supporting residents with initiating IRT Connect calls, and supporting them with any IT issues
  • Holding the tablet or iPad while the resident connects with their loved ones
  • Cleaning of equipment in line with Covid-19 protocols
