About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Qualified Gardener that has a demonstrated ability to deliver a high standard of gardening for our Illawarra sites. 

 

Reporting to the Facilities Coordinator in a full time capacity, you will perform garden maintenance and general maintenance at our IRT Illawarra locations. 

 

Your work may include: 

  • General rounds, gardens and lawn care
  • Removal of leaves, pruning and weeding
  • Application of fertilizers and mulches
  • Plant selection and planting
  • Safe and correct use of all equipment
  • Plant and Machinery Maintenance
  • Adhock property and asset maintenance

To Be Successful You Will Have

  • Current Class C Unrestricted Drivers Licence
  • Trades Certificate required for the role 
  • Valid Contractor Licence
  • Extensive experience in a Trades role
  • Extensive experience in the provision of safe, quality, sustainable and timely Maintenance services
  • Personal values of Integrity, Respect and Trust
  • Demonstrated experience in the effective and sustainable resolution of issues and a continuous improvement attitude
  • Satisfactory physical fitness as determined by independent functional assessors to safely perform the requirements of the role
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and rotating rosters including afternoon/weekend shifts and after hour emergency call outs
  • Willingness to travel across IRT facilities within the region
