About the Role
As a Retirement Village Officer, you will work closely with the Village Manager to achieve compliance and implement value-add experiences for a high level of customer satisfaction at IRT Kangara Waters, Belconnen ACT.
This is a part-time 12-month fixed term contract role, working 19 hours per week (3 days). This can be either Tues/Thurs/Fri or Wed/Thurs/Fri.
You’ll work closely with the Village Manager to support the day-to-day operations and sales of the retirement village. You also will use your exceptional organisational and customer service skills to help develop and coordinate activity programs and newsletters, prepare reports and communications, and coordinate the arrival of new residents.
Your work may include:
- Support the Village manager with the coordination of activities and events, social activities, communications and managing calendars
- Be engaged with social committee, creating resident events and newsletters
- Drive residents to events and shopping centres.
- Attend resident meetings, wellness visits and events where required and report resident issues including complaints.
- Provide support to the Village Manager by appropriate reporting and follow up.
- Assist with the daily operations and administration within the retirement village
- Support the sales process by assisting with site tours, and general enquiries.
- Ensure warm welcomes to new residents and visitors to site
- Assist with site inspections and hazard or maintenance reporting
- Complete documentation with accuracy and in a timely manner
To Be Successful You Will Have
- Qualification in Administration, Hospitality and/or experience in Seniors Living, Community Service and/or Customer Relationships.
- Previous administrative experience
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated excellent organisational skills
- Proven attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to plan and prioritise own work and work of others to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; troubleshoot basic IT issues; prepare and format newsletters.
- Valid current driver’s license and bus license (desirable)
