About the Role
As a Trainer in the Aged Care sector, you will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for individuals pursuing a career in aged care. This role requires a strong understanding of aged care practices, regulations, and standards, along with the ability to engage and inspire learners.
We are seeking a qualified and passionate Trainer on a Casual Contract, dedicated to helping individuals succeed in the Aged Care industry. You will be based at ITEC Academy, Coniston 2500.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, industry-relevant training and assessments in line with nationally endorsed training package guidelines, industry standards, and legislation.
- Facilitate training courses and assessment activities according to the scheduled plan.
- Assess the diverse needs of students and adapt training to meet individual learning requirements.
- Support student placement arrangements and maintain ongoing contact with host employers.
- Conduct assessments in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to communicated timelines.
- Process Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and/or credit transfer applications in accordance with RTO policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with workplace managers, supervisors, participants, and other stakeholders in the delivery and implementation of workplace-based training and assessment.
To Be Successful You Will Have
- Relevant and current industry experience in Aged Care training or practice
- Tertiary/Post-secondary qualifications in Aged Care (CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support and/or CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
- Outstanding presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong digital literacy skills
- Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and co-design abilities
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Australian Driver's License and willingness to travel
