Are you an experienced Aged Care Team Leader looking to take the next step in your career?

IRT is looking for an experienced and passionate Aged Care Employee who are looking to build a rewarding career as a Team Leader. You will use your well-developed care skills and knowledge to help enable our residents to age positively.

This position will primarily be based at IRT Dalmeny, however the successful candidate will also be required to work across the Eurobodalla at IRT sites in Batemans Bay and Moruya. 

About the Role: As a level 4 Aged Care Employee you will play a key role in assessing our residents’ needs, while liaising with them on their tailored care plan. Leading and supervising other Aged Care Employees, you will be an effective communicator with a strong attention to detail.  You will provide support with medications and diabetic management as required, as well as monitor resident’s conditions and report accordingly.  Working as the Team Leader you work closely with the Registered Nurse on shift including heavy involvement in Accreditation preparation and site visits. You will also engage with our allied health partners to ensure any additional needs of our residents are met. 

To be successful you will have: 

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support and medication competency
  • Two years’ full-time equivalent experience in a similar role
  • Well refined care skills
  • Previous experience using the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) would be highly regarded
  • The ability to plan and prioritise own work and work of others to meet deadlines 
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends
