About the Role

We’re looking for compassionate and enthusiastic Aged Care Employees in Wellbeing Services to join our Residential Care Home team at IRT Woodlands, Meridan Plains.

 

In this role, you’ll create meaningful moments that help residents stay active, connected and engaged. You’ll take the time to understand each person’s interests, preferences and routines, whether you’re leading a group activity, supporting a community outing or simply sharing a conversation.

How you’ll make a difference
·    Deliver engaging wellbeing programs that support independence, confidence and social connection
·    Support residents to take part in meaningful individual and group activities, including games, crafts, music, exercise, special events and cultural celebrations
·    Assist residents during community outings and bus trips, helping them feel safe, included and connected
·    Provide personalised one-on-one support and build meaningful relationships with residents
·    Monitor resident participation, maintain accurate documentation and share relevant feedback with the wider care team
·    Work collaboratively with residents, families, volunteers and colleagues to provide consistent, person-centred support
·    Help create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment that respects each resident’s interests, culture and preferences

 

To Be Successful You Will Have

•    Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or an equivalent qualification; or
•    Certificate IV or Diploma in Leisure and Health (highly regarded)
•    A caring, positive and enthusiastic approach
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•    Creativity, initiative and a passion for developing engaging activities
•    Strong teamwork and organisational skills
•    Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities
•    Knowledge of dementia care (desirable)
