About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a part-time Clinical Nurse Educator to lead the induction, on-boarding and development of our team members into our Aged Care and Home Care Centres. This position will be working across IRT Aged Care Centres and Home Care sites within the Meridan Plains area.

 

We have a permanent, part-time opportunity, for 16 hours per week.


As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a key role within the IRT Academy team. Reporting to the Operations Education Manager, your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Identifying solutions and opportunities for improvement in relation to training and learning requirements across all IRT Care and IRT at Home Business Divisions 
  • Effective planning, implementation and facilitation of education programs 
  • Supporting the educational and operational service needs within the L&D framework
  • Delivering specialist education and support to IRT workforce  
  • Working collaboratively with a diverse range of clinical and non-clinical employees 
  • Participating in the research and evaluation of programs and resources to integrate professional nursing experience and knowledge, currency of information and ensure alignment with best practice 
     

To Be Successful You Will Have

  • Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to obtain
  • Demonstrated successful experience as a Nurse Educator/ Clinical Facilitator  
  • Proven knowledge and skills in the planning, development and facilitation of vocational education and training programs
  • Ability to use blended training delivery models and adult learning principles 
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal  and written communication skills, including electronic communication modes
  • Demonstrated passion for the development of knowledge, skills and understanding of people providing quality care
  • Ability to relate empathetically to people from diverse backgrounds, values and cultures 
  • A current First Aid Certificate or a willingness to obtain 
  • Current valid driver’s license
  • An understanding of safe work practices and appropriate manual handling procedures
