About the Role

Location: IRT Woodlands, Parklands and The Palms Aged Care Centres and Retirement Villages

 

Make a positive difference to our residents’ lives by helping support their health and wellbeing as a Volunteer. IRT volunteer program allows for more flexibility and informal interactions, personalised activities and strengthens our ability to respond to individual's preferences. 


We’re looking for people that are warm, caring, compassionate and are team players who would like to volunteer as a Community Access Volunteer - Bus driver, at our sites at Woodlands, The Palms and Parklands.
 


IRT is very flexible, there are many different trips which we would be happy for you to take, and below are some examples. If you see any that would suit your schedule please apply!

 

  • The Palms (Buderim): Tuesday 9:30/10:30am-12:30pm
  • Woodlands (Meridan Plains):Wednesday (Lunches) and Thursday (Shopping 9-12:30)
  • Parklands (Currimundi): Tuesday and Wednesday – Mornings/Lunch 1 per month.

 

You can choose the location and trips you would be available for. Happy to discuss with you and what suits.

To Be Successful You Will Have

A current MR drivers licence
Able to provide a drivers history report
Obtain a GP clearance to drive the bus and residents
Complete a National Criminal History Check (paid for by IRT)

To ensure all volunteers feel supported, IRT volunteers have access to free and confidential EAP services providing support on a range of personal and volunteer related issues.
