About the Role

As a Registered Nurse at IRT Woodlands, Meridan Plains you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the health and well-being of our residents, delivering personalised clinical care with empathy and compassion. Your contributions will make a meaningful difference in their lives – and there’s truly no more rewarding role than this!


We currently have a full-time position available for a passionate Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. The shifts for this position are as follows:

Week 1: Tuesday to Saturday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Week 2: Tuesday to Saturday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM


Hourly base rate: $43.75 – $55.88 per hour, plus shift penalties, based on experience.

 

Your work may include:

  • Delivering person-centred care for residents/clients, overseeing their health and quality of life
  • Coordinating and participating in case conferences, and regularly evaluating care plans in line with policy
  • Conducting resident/client assessments upon admission, as per routine, and adjusting care plans as needed
  • Managing infection control protocols, including outbreak management
  • Supervising and supporting care workers in their roles
  • Administering treatments, medications, and wound care in accordance with best practice standards
  • Maintaining detailed, accurate documentation of changes in care needs and completing corresponding assessments

To Be Successful You Will Have

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Bachelor of Nursing qualification
  • Knowledge of clinical issues of ageing, including dementia related disorders and management of challenging behaviours
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • genuine passion for supporting older Australians to live their best life
  • Previous experience working in an aged care setting (desirable but not essential)
