About the Role
A homecare employee is to help and assist customers to maintain their independence and quality of life while remaining in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. IRT have multiple permanent part time positions for entry-level and experienced home care workers available. For this role in particular, we are looking for:
Home Care Workers - This role will be mainly covering Cleaning/Domestic Assistance for our customers throughout the Bega Region. This a Permanent Part Time position - Monday - Friday and between 8am - 5pm.
Some duties may include:
- Domestic assistance: cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and general chores around the house
Social support: transportation to appointments & social outings - Engaging in activities of daily living (ADLs)
To Be Successful You Will Have
- Current Australian Driver's License and ownership of a reliable car with Comprehensive Car Insurance (CCI)
- Relevant Certificate III or IV in Individual Support ( Ageing) or equivalent (preferred but not necessary)
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR ( or willing to obtain)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - A second language is also a bonus!
- Resilience and ability to work independently
- You're available to work weekdays and weekends
