About the Role
As a Care Manager, you will be an integral member of the Aged Care Leadership team, leading the operations of IRT Sarah Claydon Village, based in Milton.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of IRT Sarah Claydon Village, ensuring resident relations are managed in accordance with IRT’s policies and procedures.
- Deliver exceptional operational performance, ensuring compliance with Aged Care industry standards, relevant laws and regulations, and IRT’s annual objectives.
- Ensure that all administrative requirements, including care plans and other programs, are documented thoroughly and promptly.
- Identify workforce needs, including recruitment, monitoring, and performance reviews, to ensure the development of a competent, high-performing team.
- Empower and mentor employees and volunteers, fostering a team environment focused on delivering and continuously improving high-quality care that meets residents' physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Develop and manage the residence's budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet the needs of both residents and staff while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain open, effective communication with residents, their families, staff, and external stakeholders to address concerns, provide updates, and promote a positive and transparent environment.
To Be Successful You Will Have
- Demonstrated minimum 4-5 years of experience in a similar leadership role for Aged Care
- Current Australian Nursing Registration (APHRA)
- Commercial acumen including working with operational budgets and financial management
- Proven leadership skills with developing individuals and teams to achieve strategic outcomes
- Sound knowledge of AN-ACC, Aged Care Legislation and Accreditation
- Competency in using technology including clinical management systems
- The ability to role model continuous improvement and facilitate change through others
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate empathetically to people from diverse backgrounds, values and cultures
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Post graduate qualifications would be highly regarded.
