As a lifestyle officer, you’ll help residents to find meaning and purpose through activities designed to enhance their sense of connection, fun and relaxation. Your warm-hearted care will provide experiences that enhance our residents’ wellbeing and overall quality of life and truly make a positive impact on their lives. It really is an incredibly rewarding role and a lot of fun!
We have multiple part-time positions available in our Aged Care Centres in
- IRT Crown Gardens, Batemans Bay,
- IRT Moruya
- IRT Dalmeny
Your work may include:
• Helping facilitate a range of engaging onsite activities such as bingo, floor bowls, craft and special events
• Helping to develop and plan a range of social, recreational and cultural activities
• Assisting residents on bus trips and community outings
• Supporting resident participation and offering warm companionship
• Ensuring residents’ needs, values and spiritual values and cultural preferences are taken into account

To be successful you will have:
• A Diploma or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or willing to obtain)
• Initiative and creative flair
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work as part of a team and prioritise work
• The ability to put a smile on a residents face and brighten their day
• A big heart – you’re empathetic and have a passion for supporting older Australians to live their best life possible
• Knowledge of the needs of persons living with dementia (desirable)
