About the Role
As an Aged care employee, you'll directly support our older persons' physical and emotional wellbeing and overall quality of life. Your personalised care and empathetic companionship will truly make a positive impact on their lives. It really is a highly rewarding role!
We are looking for a passionate carer for our Residential care home at IRT Peakhurst, this is a short-term contract until June 2026 covering night shift.
Hours are 18 hours per week working:
Week 1: Wednesday and Sunday night
Week 2: Monday and Saturday night
Your work may include:
- Assisting our older persons with their daily living and personal needs such as eating, showering, personal hygiene, dressing, personal grooming and general mobility
- Helping with medication and simple wound dressings
- Supporting our older persons' participation in lifestyle and social activities
To Be Successful You Will Have
- Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Ageing Support or equivalent
- A big heart - you're empathetic, adaptable and have a passion for supporting older Australians to live their best life possible
- Experience in aged or community care
