About the Role
IRT Catering is seeking to appoint a passionate Catering Assistant/Cleaner with prior experience in a catering or a food service environment to join the team on a casual basis. The availability required for this casual role would be Tuesday and Wednesdays from 6am to 2:30pm or 8:30am to 5pm.
As a Catering Assistant/Cleaner, you will be responsible for the preparation of high quality foods including cooking, chilling, batch assembly, labelling, storage and stock rotation in compliance with HACCP food guidelines. This dual role will also be responsible for a range of cleaning duties including the general work area and commercial production equipment, whilst adhering to safety and hygiene systems in accordance with legislation.
To Be Successful You Will Have
- Demonstrated experience working with commercial cooking equipment
- Sound level verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to plan and prioritise own work to meet deadlines
- The demonstrated experience in the use of cleaning chemicals which may be used in a Commercial Production Kitchen
- Awareness of hygiene and safety issues in a Commercial Production Kitchen Environment
- Experience as a Commercial Cleaner in a Commercial Kitchen Environment
- Ability to undertake work in a refrigerated environment
- A sound level verbal and written communication skills
- A demonstrated willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
