About the Role

Are you looking for an exciting Chef position with family friendly hours in addition to a monthly RDO? Working on rotating shifts across Monday to Friday between four shift rotations: 

5am to 1:30pm, 6am to 2:30pm, 2:30pm to 11pm; and 8:30am to 5pm.


IRT Catering is seeking to appoint a passionate and qualified Chef to join the team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Head Production Chef, you will assist in the smooth and efficient operation of the Production and Distribution areas of the Catering Services Centre through the effective supervision and utilisation of staff and resources.

As our Chef, you will be responsible for the preparation and production of high quality foods while following HACCP guidelines. Based in our Catering Services Centre, you’ll work with the team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of production and distribution of meals to our IRT locations. You’ll use your leadership skills to provide direction and support to other kitchen staff in adhering to safety policies, procedures and guidelines in maintaining a clean and hygienic workplace.

To Be Successful You Will Have

  • A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery Qualification
  • Previous experience in bulk cooking (Highly Desirable)
  • Demonstrated understanding of current legislation and food handling guidelines
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to come up with new ideas and solutions
  • Sound leadership skills, self-motivation and a passion for Aged Care
