Hospitality Team Leader
Classification: Part-Time 2 days per week

IRT is seeking to appoint an experienced Hospitality Team Leader to join our fantastic team. This position will be working part-time 16 hours per week across 2 days. This position would suit a candidate looking for a flexible work life balance and could cater to those looking to work during school hours or around study commitments.

About the role:
As a Hospitality Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising Catering as well as Laundry team
  • To supervise and manage staff in performing a range of domestic duties whilst effectively scheduling resources to ensure a high standard of hospitality services.
  • With your understanding of food safety practices, you will aim to improve resident dining experiences by ensuring all meals are coordinated and prepared to a standard that exceeds their expectations. 
  • Completing relevant audits and relieving more senior positions as required.
  • Managing stock of your domain through Coupa aligned with budget. 
  • Managing roster working together with workforce planner.
  • Replace and Complete relevant documentation when and where necessary.
  • Liaise with different suppliers and their representative when and where necessary.
  • Responsible for the planning, ordering and overseeing the preparation of all meals, coordination of domestic services, scheduling of resources and supervise the work of others to ensure hospitality services are provided
  • Updating dietary requirement and communicate through the team when and where necessary.
  • Involve as many staffs as possible to take part in different education session as well as conduct monthly toolbox talk.
  • PPE stock management from stocktake and appropriate sourcing.
  • Conduct Monthly kitchen Hygiene Audit for all kitchen and Cleaning Audit for whole facility.
  • Interact with residents and their relatives as much as possible. 
  • Be a point of contact when and where to address the issues with in your domain.

To be successful you will have:
•    Previous demonstrated experience in a similar role
•    A relevant Certificate III or IV in Hospitality or other relevant qualification
•    Food Safety Supervisor qualification 
•    Sound knowledge of the NSW Food Authority Audit process
•    Strong leadership skills and previous experience leading a team
•    Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise own work and the work of others
