IRT Group is seeking to appoint an experienced Group Head of Employee Relations to join the Customer and People Team, based in Wollongong. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing industry, where you’ll be making a real impact on the lives of older Australians. 

About the role: 
As IRT’s Group Head of Employee Relations, you will use your extensive experience to develop and implement IRT’s ER/IR strategy and provide expert advice and support to Executives, Senior Managers and Business Partners.


You will act as the resident subject matter expert on the industrial landscape, including: 
•    Leading the negotiation of Enterprise Agreements
•    Acting as the IRT representative in FWC matters and in liaising with other regulatory bodies
•    Providing coaching support on major workplace changes
•    Developing and implementing contemporary and compliant policy and guidelines
•    Providing People & Culture Business Partner support to Corporate Services, including the Facilities Management Team


To be successful you will have: 
•    Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
•    10+ years in a similar role, with 15+ years direct ER/IR experience
•    Advanced understanding of ER legislation and the regulatory framework
•    Significant experience negotiating Enterprise Agreements and other industrial instruments
•    Demonstrated experience in strategic and operational planning and execution
•    Experience in undertaking workforce planning and analysis
•    Demonstrated experience advocating before external bodies e.g. Fair Work Commission, Anti-Discrimination Board of NSW etc
•    Demonstrated understanding of a values driven culture
•    High level interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), negotiation and presentation skills
•    Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
