About the Role

  • Project governance (i.e. steering committee level and working group) oversight of the projects associated with IRT Group, Business Units and Support Divisions, ensuring:
  1. a consistent and coherent customer experience being implemented, and
  2. project is on track to deliver against identified milestones and targets
  • Ensure the concept or the high level scope is converted to full project schedule and agreed deliverables.
  • Apply the agreed project and software methodology using effective governance structures and project management tools.
  • Develop key stakeholder relationships and influence alignment on vision and project objectives at an Executive and Board level.
  • Lead and facilitate the collaboration activities across appropriate parties (internal and external) to accelerate project progress.
  • Lead and manage project and software development life cycle from inception to business owner handover.
  • Oversee activities and the engagement of third-party providers if required.
  • Work with consultants and other delivery partners including those with specialist capabilities to meet project objectives.
  • Lead and manage the implementation of project plans including achievement of project milestones and deliverables.
  • Identify key project risks and issues and mitigation strategies utilising the IRT Corporate Risk Management Structure.
  • Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring transparency and accurate forecasting.
  • Oversee and complete as appropriate project reporting, and lead the project communications strategy.  
     

To Be Successful You Will Have

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business management, project management, change leadership, or similar discipline.
  • Current certification in a project management framework or willingness to work towards this.
  • Experience in tactical and strategic project leadership including taking a customer centric approach in project scope and delivery.
  • Experience in leading software development projects through to production implementation.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others and influence high level organisational change.
  • Experience in industry-standard project management methodologies. 
  • Experience in managing specialist suppliers/third parties and developing partnerships.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills including the ability to prepare comprehensive professional reports.
  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability.
  • Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
  • Advanced computer skills in particular with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Current drivers licence and ability to travel to all IRT locations.
  • Experience in Aged care Service environment would be a benefit, but is not essential.
