About the Role
At the heart of great care is a deep understanding of the people we serve. At IRT, we're looking for a Senior Data Analyst who can turn complex data into meaningful insights that help improve the lives of our residents, clients and care teams.
In this role, you'll deliver trusted business intelligence and analytics, partner with stakeholders across the organisation, and help drive a data-informed culture. You'll provide technical leadership, mentor team members, champion best practice, and develop scalable, high-quality reporting and analytics solutions that support better decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and evolving business intelligence solutions, data models and reporting frameworks.
- Developing robust SQL queries, dbt models and impactful Power BI dashboards.
- Partnering with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Identifying trends and opportunities through data analysis to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Promoting data quality, governance and best practices across analytics and reporting.
- Providing technical leadership, mentoring analysts and supporting the Manager with team coordination and delivery.
- Supporting continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to leverage advanced analytics and predictive insights.
- Building strong relationships across the organisation and delivering exceptional stakeholder support.
To Be Successful You Will Have
- Tertiary qualification (Bachelor’s degree or higher) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience in an enterprise data analytics environment.
- Several years' experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence or a similar data-driven reporting role.
- Advanced expertise in Power BI, including dashboards, reports, semantic models and DAX.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with cloud data warehouses, ideally Snowflake.
- A solid understanding of data warehousing, data modelling and modern BI architecture.
- Experience with Git and analytics engineering tools such as dbt (or the ability to quickly develop expertise).
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into meaningful reporting and analytics solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working with complex datasets.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- A collaborative approach, with experience mentoring others and building strong stakeholder relationships across the business.
