Senior People Partner

Home Care, Retirement Villages, ITeC Academy & QLD Hub

12-month maternity leave contract


We’re looking for an experienced Senior People Partner to join us on a 12-month maternity leave contract, supporting our Home Care, Retirement Villages, ITeC Academy and QLD Hub portfolios.


This is a high-impact leadership role for a seasoned People & Culture professional who enjoys operating at both a strategic and hands-on level. You’ll partner closely with senior leaders to shape the people agenda, manage complex industrial matters and drive workforce strategy across a diverse and operationally complex environment.

 

About the role


Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Home Care & Retirement Villages, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all People & Culture matters.


As a trusted advisor to the leadership team, you’ll play a key role in delivering the divisional People strategy, coaching leaders, overseeing workforce planning, and governing industrial relations risk. You’ll also lead People & Culture initiatives and contribute to broader organisational priorities.


This role offers exposure to senior leadership, enterprise decision-making and complex industrial environments, while remaining closely connected to day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities


• Partner with senior leaders to develop and deliver divisional People strategies aligned to organisational goals
• Act as a trusted advisor and coach, building strong people leadership capability
• Lead workforce planning and succession strategies to meet current and future needs
• Identify and address capability gaps arising from organisational or industry change
• Provide leadership and oversight on complex industrial relations and injury management matters
• Govern, monitor and report on IR activity and risk
• Represent the organisation in industrial and employment-related matters, including engagement with external bodies
• Lead the delivery of enterprise People & Culture initiatives across multiple portfolios
• Promote a strong safety culture and support injury reduction initiatives
• Contribute to organisation-wide People & Culture projects, including IR, performance, systems, culture and talent
• Use HR systems, data and insights to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement

To Be Successful You Will Have

You’ll bring strong credibility as a senior People & Culture leader and enjoy working in fast-paced, operational environments. You are comfortable influencing at executive level and balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery.

 

You’ll also have:

 

• Extensive experience in a senior HR Business Partner or People leadership role
• Strong capability across industrial relations, workforce strategy and people risk
• Confidence coaching and influencing senior and executive leaders
• A pragmatic, analytical and solutions-focused mindset
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and complex stakeholder groups
• A leadership style built on integrity, authenticity and trust
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline (post-graduate qualifications desirable)
• Current driver’s licence
