Location: IRT Illawarra Aged Care Centres

We are currently recruiting for Lifestyle Officers to assist with Leisure Activities for our residents in the Illawarra. The positions will be part time, working between 6 and 15 hours per week.


We’re seeking enthusiastic and passionate Lifestyle Officers to join our dynamic and growing team on a part-time basis. These extremely rewarding roles will contribute to the activity offerings for residents to enhance their life and sense of security, companionship, fun and relaxation. Positions are currently available at the below locations: 


  • IRT Tarrawanna
  • IRT Woonona
  • IRT William Beach Gardens (Kanahooka) 
  • IRT Diment Towers (Wollongong) 
  • IRT Five Islands (Port Kembla) 


About the Role: As a Lifestyle Officer, you will assist in the evaluation, design and delivery of enjoyable lifestyle programs that support the emotional well-being of our residents. You’ll support the individual assessment of resident lifestyle and welfare needs whilst maintaining resident independence and contributing to the continuous improvement of lifestyle activities.


To be successful you will have:

  • A qualification in an appropriate field such as Certificate IV Leisure and Health and/or relevant industry experience (Desirable)
  • Initiative and creative flair
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts including weekends
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology including Microsoft Office
  • Up-to-date knowledge of a person living with dementia 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The ability to work as part of a team and be able to prioritise work to meet deadlines.
